GIVEAWAY RULES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

No purchase is necessary to enter or win.  A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.  All federal, state, local, and municipal laws and regulations apply.  Void where prohibited. 

  1. Eligibility: Project Special Spaces giveaway is open to a special needs child, living in Kentucky (under the age of 18). The parent or legal guardian of this child can apply, and must be a legal resident of the State of Kentucky, and at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.  Giveaway open to private individuals only. No limit or discrimination on age, race, religion, gender or disability. No dealer, agency, business entity, facility or school are eligible to enter.  Employees of April Lafawn Designs and other companies associated with the promotion of the Sweepstakes, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The giveaway is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility within 7 days of receiving document.
  2. Sponsor: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by April Lafawn Designs. You can contact by going to the website http://www.projectspecialspaces.com.
  3. Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in the giveaway constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning the prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
  4. Prize Terms: Sponsor’s decisions with respect to the winner and other matters pertaining to the giveaway shall be final and binding. By entering into the giveaway, each entrant consents to the use by Sponsor and Participating Parties/Sponsors and their designees of entrant’s name, photograph, likeness, biography, social media handles, voice, performance and/or video for advertising and promotional purposes including Participating Parties’ content in any and all media (including online announcements) now or hereafter known, throughout the universe in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law.
  5. Giveaway Period: The next giveaway will be announced soon. Entries that are submitted before or after the giveaway period will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted for the duration of the giveaway using the following methods: Internet/Website based giveaway.
  6. How to Enter: This is an Internet/Website Based giveaway. This method of entry will be available by visiting our website (www.projectspecialspaces.com) and following the directions provided to fill out the entry information, and submit. (place link to entry form from my site) Limit one (1) entry per person, and per household for the duration of the giveaway period, regardless of method of entry. Entries received from any person, e-mail address, or household in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. All entries MUST have the following information otherwise it will not be accepted:

  • Home Address, City, State and Zip Code
  • Home Telephone Number
  1. Prize Drawing: Sponsor will select potential winner in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. Winning entry will be drawn randomly by computer program.The Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential winner via telephone or email. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place at random from the remaining non-winning, eligible entries.
  2. Winner Notification: The potential winner will be notified by email, mail or phone number provided. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, potential winner forfeits prize. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.
  3. Prize: Designer Bedroom Makeover. The Approximate Retail Value for the total prize varies.  The Bedroom Makeover may include (but is not limited to) furnishings, linens, fixtures, accessories, paint, and organizational supplies.  Maximum Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of the makeover will not exceed $4,000.  Only select models, and final selection will be at discretion of designer.  Designer will consult with winner regarding design of the bedroom, but all final design choices will be made at full discretion of the designer.  Any structural changes that are required must be at the winner’s expense.  First consultation between winner and Sponsor must be within 6 weeks of winning. 
  4. General Prize Conditions: All federal, state, and local taxes on the prize are the prize winner’s responsibility. The prize winner will be issued a 1099 tax form for the ARV of the prize. The winner has 7 days to return the completed 1099 tax form to the sponsor after receiving. The specifics of all aforementioned elements of the prize in the giveaway shall be solely determined by Sponsor. Some restrictions may apply. Prize cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize, or portions thereof, with a prize of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion.
  5. Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in the giveaway, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the giveaway, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the “Released Parties)” from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the giveaway or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the giveaway, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the giveaway; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d)application downloads, (e) any other errors or problems in connection with the giveaway, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the giveaway, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event and/or the flyover, if applicable, the incorrect downloading of the application, the processing of entries application downloads or in any giveaway-related materials; or (f) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the giveaway or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the giveaway, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the giveaway. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. April Lafawn Designs will not be responsible for entries not received because of delivery failure in anyway.
  6. Privacy: Information collected from entrants is to remain private and only used by Sponsor for giveaway purposes. No information will be disseminated, and only used for in house purposes.
